“In
every historical period, there has
been a re-creation of (Jewish) tradition through commentary, Midrash,
and creative reinterpretation.”
-- Michael Lerner, JEWISH
RENEWAL: PATH TO HEALING AND
TRANSFORMATION
A NOTE FROM MICHAEL GURIAN:

A NOTE FROM
MICHAEL GURIAN:
Over
the last two decades, certain of my nonfiction books have been used in
synagogues and Jewish communities, and I have had the honor of working
with Jewish Day Schools and Reform and Conservative congregations.
Approximately ten years ago, I began to feel affinity with both the
Jewish Renewal and Mussar movements, as I continued my ongoing
spiritual life. I began a process of writing Jewish poetry (further
explained in each book page of this website), a departure from my
nonfiction work.
These books of poems and readings are represented on these webpages. I
hope you will find inspiration in them for your own life journey. I
have been honored to receive emails and calls from Jews, Christians,
Muslims, Buddhists, and others, who have commented on these books, and
helped me continue working on further works of poems and readings.
