 Training Opportunities
Adie
Goldberg, the Gurian Institute Jewish Studies Coordinator, presented
the keynote: Helping Jewish Communities Retain Boys and Men, at
the Los Angeles Jewish Federation’s annual conference. She has
also presented trainings at four summer camps in the LA area. To

 Books and Jewish Renewal
Nearly
a decade ago, Michael Gurian began collaborating with rabbis in the
Conservative and Reform movements to develop new liturgical works in
English for Sabbath services. Two books of new poems,
meditations, and readings are now available. To learn

 Training Opportunities
Gurian
Institute staff provide training for churches and religious schools in
order to help Christian communities help boys and girls learn and
grow. There has been a special need to help churches and
religious schools understand and deal with the attrition of boys and

 Discipleship/Confirmation Program
Pastor
Tim Wright of Community of Grace Lutheran Church in Peoria, Arizona
(Phoenix area), has been a friend and partner of the Institute for many
years now. In recent years, he, Michael Gurian, and Kathy Stevens
have been working together to develop leading edge confirmation
programs for seventh to ninth grade boys and girls. To learn
